Her professional affiliations include being a member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) with the designation of Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC).
Dr. Ghorbankhani’s literary contribution, “The Hidden Genius,” is a comprehensive and insightful book that is essential reading for anyone with an interest in gifted individuals and an understanding of the unique learning needs of gifted children. Whether you are a parent, teacher, counselor, or simply someone seeking knowledge and support for a gifted child, this book is a valuable addition to your library.
In addition to her group practice, Dr. Ghorbankhani continues to collaborate with a wide array of public and private organizations and projects. She specializes in various practice areas, encompassing adaptations, relationships, giftedness, cross-cultural counselling, anxiety, and depression.
What sets Dr. Ghorbankhani apart is her holistic approach to therapy. She emphasizes the importance of treating individuals as a whole, rather than merely addressing some of their symptoms. She collaboratively and nonjudgmentally works with her clients to develop personalized treatment plans that are tailored to their unique needs and goals.
Her therapeutic methods are grounded in evidence-based practices while keeping herself informed about the latest used research and technique methods in psychology. She is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which, when necessary, complements her therapeutic work.
